Traction Journal #2 – “Chaos precedes change”

Holy mole! this week was a lot to get thrown into… I got very overwhelmed but I know that failure is how we grow! I know even though this week felt like chaos I learned so much from my VP1 group.

What did you love this week?

I loved producing an actual product that can actually help people. This truly is the first time i’ve been a part of creating something like that and its a great feeling.

What would you have loved to have achieved this week, what held you back? How might you overcome that?

I wish I was more helpful to my team 🙁 I genuinely tried to do my fair share but I was still feeling quite a bit lost. I’m excited for what looks like some “term definition” in class on Monday. I think as I become more confident asking for help in this class I will be able to learn more from my peers. I’m not used to peer learning but I see the advantages of it 🙂

How may YOUR EXPERIENCES FROM VP1 help you have a successful and fulfilling VP2? How will you put that into action?

I feel like I learned a lot of little tips and tricks along the way and learned more how to navigate the evidence lockers and use services like jam board. as VP1 has prepared me to become more fluent in the language this class uses ill be able to partake more in the next project and hopefully with the longer time span for the project ill be able to partake more than last time with my crazy schedule and all.

More about me!

okay I figured I would share some more stuff about me and who I am because there was some questions that were commented on the last post so i’ve included a video I made very recently! CLICK HERE

    Hey Aidan!
Good job on VP1, I know it’s a crazy experience but you are so right because you will have learned so much just by the small amount you contributed and all that you watched go down. I wish you all the luck in the world for VP2! Reach out if you need anything.
The video you made is so cool! I really like the video editing you did too. Are you into that as well? I liked it 🙂
    Best,

DAAAAANG that video was awesome! I loved seeing your skills and the video was so smooth. I am very impressed with all that. As for learning to ask, it’s definitely ok to take it slow and absorb what you can at first. Once you start to get confused, reaching out to any of your peers is a great starting point. Or asking the fellows as that is what they are here for. And Meg, well she’s incredible, friendly, and super personable. I love work with her. I hope you can feel comfortable reaching out to your peers and teaching fellows when you’re ready!
Another comment that I want to touch on is the place where you felt like you did not do enough to help your team. This VP1 project is a lot about helping YOU understand the material and get you engaged quickly. I do not believe that you weren’t as much of a help as an E6. Everyone has a part to play and learn, and it sounds like you did exactly what was needed from you.
I cannot wait to hear about all your learning and connections in VP2. Let us know what the project is that you are working on!
