This week has felt great! although miss one day of class was rough I feel I was able to catch up on what I missed and implement that into our project this week. We have finally landed on the idea of an app the help people meet up with others after the pandemic, almost like a dating app for hobbies! something similar to the app MeetUp but more user-friendly and have educational features!
What resonated with you in Oscar Edward’s storytelling workshop?
The work shop this week really helped me deepen my understanding on how to listen to people, which may sounds strange but how you listen to somebody can really effect the information you get from that conversation.
There was also something really special about being asked those hard questions and being able to hear everybody’s personal stories and views on the matter, this class really is a big family and its cool how much we communicate with each other and support one another.
How might you apply this week’s learnings to your venture?
The storytelling work shop is going to help me with my customer interviews I believe because I will be better equipped listen to what they have to say and take down meaningful information from our conversations.
Taking things that feel almost disconnect and connecting them is a great way to find opportunities. I am so glad that the workshops we are doing in class are helping you and your team find your VP2. I would love to hear more about how your pre-prototype interviews went, and how you are going to use this workshops skills to create better post prototype interviews!
As for the missed class, is there anything that you want to know from the class? Or some questions or comments that you have based on what you heard we did. We are here to help as your quad members, remember that!
(I miss hearing and learning about you, what else is new or happening in your life that is on your mind?)

Hey Aidan!
Something really cool I wanted to add to what you mentioned is called the central and peripheral pathways to learning. Have you heard of them? It’s highly likely that you haven’t, it’s a psychology term. The central pathway to learning means you actively are able to process the information presented to you and later you can use this information in thoughtful ways. For example, you’d be much more equipped to make an argument for something you centrally processed. Peripheral processing is much less attentive. It when factors such as attraction come in handy because this type of processing will favor more basic factors like that. Anyway, I wanted to tell you about it because you wrote about attentive listening. I thought it might be cool for you to learn about it at a more psychological level!
Hope VP2 is going great!
