Woah weird week for me, it started off with a covid scare and then I had to isolate for the first half of the week. On Tuesday I got to go see a concert with a friend of mine which was awesome! except it was in Kent… which was a lil scary… but we lived. then on Saturday I went skiing again! And if you remember form my last post I had started working on jumping! well…. I worked more on that and finally felt like I was getting the hang of it when BAM! Slammed my chin right into the ice. I ended up busting open my lower lip scraping up my face and getting a gnarly ice rash on my chin as well as a minor concussion. So yeah jumping is cool and all but maybe ill hold off a bit to learn that
In terms of the BMC work shop? honestly I didnt feel too connected being that I was online. and my group was struggling to figure out exactly what we were supposed to be doing. but I like that it gave me a better understanding for the BMC/ I would’ve liked if we spent more time talking about each section of the BMC not just ranking them, like the order doesn’t seem like the ,most important part to learn about in the BMC
I loved when Arathi came to speak with us! Ive always appreciated what she has to say and her very lovely perspective of self love and things of that sort. I love how she proudly uses the word failure. it really reminds me of when my dad used to take me up skiing. I would always be scared that he would be mad if I fell, but when ever I did he would just tell me that fallen (failure) is just a way you prove to yourself that you are trying.
You only fail when you try.
song of the week : gecgecgec by 100gecs this song is some weird hyper pop song so nobody will like it. but every time it plays from this playlist of hyper pop songs it cracks me up
Hey Aidan!
That was such a good point about the BMC. We definitely could’ve talked more about each section rather than just talking about the steps in completing the canvas. It must be a weird feeling when you felt confident in jumping when suddenly you hurt yourself and got a mild concussion. I hope you feel better! I’m glad you thoroughly enjoyed having Arathi as a speaker. Isn’t she wonderful? I don’t listen to 100gecs, but I have heard mixed reviews hahha. One of my mutual friends really loves them and saw them in concert. I’m glad when that song randomly pops up, it gives you a good laugh!

Aidan!
Oh no!!! I hope you recover soon! Especially from a concussion that is so rough to deal with in school in general, let alone in midterms!!! Sending you my thoughts! I agree about the BMC workshop! Also as someone who has done the online option while everyone else is in person, it is super difficult to stay engaged and understand what’s gong on. For sure a struggle. I have not really listened to 100gecs, but my old roommate and their friend went to see them in concert when they were last in Seattle! I am so glad you got to go to a concert with your friend! That is so awesome! I am going to see the Greeting Committee next weekend and am nervous about covid but also really really excited! Wishing you well!
