Traction Journal #5 – “I am burnt out”

agh I was trying so hard to avoid burning out this quarter… but I think that only made it come quicker.

Idk what’s goin on, I think work+school+ relationships are taking a really big stressor on me. I feel bad , my dad texted me wondering if I was alive because I hadn’t responded to him all week. I just genuinely haven’t felt like ive gotten to chill or take a deep breath for the past two months. I guess summer is coming and that will be amazing. but this trip to Europe ive got planned is going to be expensive!!!

  1. How did the Jobs to be Done workshop go for you? Do you still have questions? How do you feel about the JTBD statement for your venture?

JTBD workshop was good! I re-did my JTBD and felt like it improved 🙂

  1. What resonated with you from Ugly But Tasty?

I think I got a lot of really good ideas for buisnesses I can reach out to 🙂

  1. How did “Got Your Back Consulting” go for you? How did you feel sharing ideas and feedback on others ventures?

Got your back is always cool because it allows you to give honest feedback. I feel like we were really able to help a few projects out substantially!

  1. How is VP2 going as a whole? Are there any areas of confusion or need for support?

I think I gotta have a tara meeting and get my project aligned 🙂 im a little all over the place.

  1. We launched Change Leadership this week! How was this experience for you? How are you doing heading into this project?

I was a little confused on the change leadership part I think I missed when you talked about e4s? or maybe it was just cuz we had like 5 mins to talk about them… but yeee Karl and I are gunna bang those out.

Oh I totally forgot!

on Saturday I did something super fun tho! I went to Seattle and did another card jam thing! I got to open a Ton of mystery decks with my friends and eat pizza, best part was…. it was all free!

Aidan! Aidan! Please take some time for YOU! The burnout is real… I feel like Spring quarter does that to everyone no matter how hard we try. As for Europe I am so dang excited for you guys. It is going to be so amazing!! You all will have the best time. As for your venture, you got this! You are in a waaaay better place than I was as an E4. Cheering you on Aidan Adams!

    Aidan!
I feel it, I am also burnt out. I thought I signed up for an “easier” workload for the spring quarter but damn it does not feel like that. I think it does have to do with the fact it’s the last quarter before summer. It can be hard to balance work, school and fun especially when the sun starts coming out. That card jam in Seattle looks super fun, might have to ask you for a deck!
    Have a good week,
    Joey
