East Oakland, CA: Social Studies teacher Jacob Levy has integrated Instagram into his teaching government. His outcome, bringing the bigger concepts of goverment, and being a part of it, more accessible and relatable for his students. Using IG feed of the recent “freshman” congress such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) whom are just a s savvy of using IG as a platform as Levy’s students.

“Much of the student body at Madison Park Academy is Latino, and the students there say Ocasio-Cortez’s feed makes government more accessible. William, a student of Levy’s, says government hasn’t felt that real until now.”
