Welcome!

My name is Antonya Gonzalez, and I am an Associate Professor of Psychology at Western Washington University. In 2013, I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with an A.B. (with Honors) in Psychology. I completed my M.A. (2015) and Ph.D. (2019) in Developmental Psychology at the University of British Columbia. My research examines the causes, content, and consequences of cultural attitudes, stereotypes, and beliefs about social groups across development. Depending on the quarter, I teach PSY 307: Experimental Methods and Statistics (Undergraduate), PSY 335: Socioemotional Development, PSY 430: Seminar in Developmental Psychology, and PSY 513: Experimental Methods and Statistics (Graduate) at Western.
