APCG 2022 meeting events will take place on the campus of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Bellingham is conveniently located in the middle of the Cascadia Megalopolis, mid-way between Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC.

Air travel

The Bellingham Airport (BLI) is served by Alaska, Southwest, and Allegiant airlines. Direct flights to Bellingham are currently available from Oakland, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Palm Springs. More flight options are available to the Vancouver (YVR) and Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) airports.

Ground travel

The Bellair Airporter Shuttle offers a convenient way to travel from the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Bellingham. Amtrak, Greyhound, and FlixBus offer service to the southside of Bellingham from Vancouver and many US cities to the south. Note that Amtrak is currently only offering bus service to Bellingham, but train service will hopefully resume this autumn.

While in Bellingham, our local bus system is a great way to get around town.

Lodging

Several relatively affordable hotels can be found along Samish Way just east of the Western Washington University campus in the Sehome Neighborhood. More luxurious options are available in the Fairhaven Neighborhood south of campus (the Fairhaven Village Inn is particularly lovely). Many more options are available near the airport north of downtown Bellingham. You can easily search hotel options via this custom Google Maps link or read more on our local tourism website. Camping is available a 12 minute drive south of campus at Larrabee State Park.
