College Quest is a campus-wide youth program designed to engage high school students in the college lifestyle for a week during summer. As part of the program, participants complete a college-level course, and the Behavioral Neuroscience program offers a neuroscience-related course: “PSY 194: Experience in Behavioral Neuroscience.” Visit Western’s Bellingham College Quest website for more information.
College Quest 2016
This year we had 24 high school students from around Washington State and Alaska participate in Western Washington University’s College Quest program. For a week, these students lived on campus and attended a class taught by faculty members Dr. Finlay and Dr. Mana. During their week with us they got to take what they learned from the program and create and present a scientific poster on a neuro-related topic of their choice. We were very impressed with this year’s group of high school students.
