Northwest Collegiate Climbing Competition
Each year, the Student Recreation Center hosts an exciting event at our climbing wall called Veni Vidi Ascendi. This annual event is part of the larger Northwest Collegiate Climbing Circuit, which is a series of competitions which take place at climbing walls on college campuses around the Northwest. WWU was one of the founding members of this series along with two other schools in 2008, and since then the series has grown to include events in Washington, Oregon and Idaho!
Western Washington University is pleased to announce the 15th annual Veni Vidi Ascendi, part of the Northwest Collegiate Climbing Circuit (NC3). This series of competitions is designed to foster community involvement and bring attention to the increasingly popular sport of climbing.
WWU first participated in the series in 2008, and each year the event held at our Student Recreation Center climbing wall is one of the largest competitions of the entire series! In 2020, WWU will host the first event of the series on Saturday, February 1st.
This series allows participants to experience a high level of competitive sport and foster growth within the climbing community.
