In partnership with NIRSA and the NCAA, Western Washington University is committed to providing inclusive programming throughout all Campus Recreation departments. In particular, Western Washington University’s Intramural program has taken steps in order to welcome all students living within our diverse community. Moving forward, our Intramural programs want to recognize and include all transgender and non-binary student populations on campus. Intramurals empowers students to participate in sports leagues based on their expressed gender identity. We fully recognize that any given student’s gender may change over the course of their college career, and ask that they select whatever represents them best. We are committed to respecting the gender identity for every single individual playing Intramural sports at Western Washington University.
