In partnership with NIRSA and the NCAA, Western Washington University is committed to providing inclusive programming throughout all Campus Recreation departments. In particular, Western Washington University’s Intramural program has taken steps in order to welcome all students living within our diverse community. Moving forward, our Intramural programs want to recognize and include all transgender and non-binary student populations on campus. Intramurals empowers students to participate in sports leagues based on their expressed gender identity. We fully recognize that any given student’s gender may change over the course of their college career, and ask that they select whatever represents them best. We are committed to respecting the gender identity for every single individual playing Intramural sports at Western Washington University.
The current software application Western’s Intramural program uses is called “IMLeagues.” IMLeagues is not directly affiliated with WWU, and does have it’s limitations. For the sake of creating a Western-tailored account, please use your student e-mail. If there are any components of the registration process that are unwelcoming through IMLeagues’ online portal, please do not feel obligated to fill out that information. For accommodations of any sort please e-mail the Intramural Coordinator, Lucas Potes Lucas.Potes@wwu.edu directly.
Western Washington University continually strives to create inclusive and non-discriminatory campus services. In particular, our Intramural program is committed to providing a welcoming, user-friendly experience to all students in our community. We are committed to full inclusion of transgender and non-binary student populations. All students will be supported based on their expressed gender identity.
