In order to gather data, we settled on using three different methods. For our first method, we made a survey on Google Forms and posted it to the English 101 Wix website. Previously, we were planning to post our survey on our social media accounts, but we decided to only use the Wix website so that our data would be specific to Western students only. For our next method, we typed out some interview questions and found three people of different age groups to ask the questions. We decided to interview people of different age groups to see if the results had any correlation to age. The last method we used was to compare the prices of four random books on an e-book website versus a store selling printed books. We were also planning to research other previously collected data from other studies to see what results were found, but we decided not to because we wanted to come up with our own original data.
