THE SHOW
A small, local bar has placed a flyer with your name on their bolstered doors. On it details your musical debut as a solo act. In preparation, you’ve practiced your lyrics, your chords and riffs, fine tuning all your skills to put on a show of a lifetime.
Who knows, maybe tonight’s appearance at this venue will put you on the map, and you’ll soon find yourself plastered onto billboards nationwide. Or maybe little will come from it.
No matter what, that flyer’s been on that door for weeks now. You listen to the show’s openers and the audience’s chatter. The room is like a book, and the anticipation is lively.
The sound quality is very clear and the music makes me want to drink coffee, chill, and read a book. I think it was very clever to use the anticipation before a performance to go alongside the anticipation we feel as we prepare to leave to Italy. It is less directly related, but still invokes the same emotions towards the listener. The photos make sense and add to the experience and vibe of the music. I didn’t know you were in a band? That’s really cool!
I can feel the energy of the room through your sound. this would be a nerve racking thing for anyone. the idea of leaving the room to get some air before you go on is so real. it invokes a sense of peace in knowing that you know what you’re doing but fear of actually doing it.
This is really beautiful I love that it’s a really personalized version of anticipation instead of just in general for our trip.
This is really wonderful! You capture the feeling of anticipation. It’s mixed well and the background ambience does not overtake. And it stops and leaves us wanting more. I also appreciate how you took the prompt and applied it to another experience, which makes this piece have more than one meaning, so it lives longer in the mind of the listener. Great sound quality and guitar playing. Love the electrical fizz near the end.
