coming home

my body and brain still feel like I am on an airplane. I would describe the feelings that this weekend has presented me as weird and bad. I’ve been falling asleep at 7 pm and waking up at 3 am, thank god for melatonin.

flight attendant: “As we finish out safety check please let us know if you have any questions. as we get ready for take off please settle in, and from all of our crew thank you for flying with delta.”

take off

pilot: “32000 feet, the seatbelt sign is on for now, please feel free to move about the cabin. we do ask you keep your seatbelt fastened while seated”

Ella: “welcome to Ella’s bathroom podcast. where I am in the bathroom on an airplane. we are about 2 hours into our flight to Seattle right now. the bathroom in pretty nice, not a super long line which is quite helpful. I watched star wars and… yeah that’s kinda my update. feeling good, I think my feet are swollen because they don’t fit in my shoes right now. and yeah that’s about it, ill check in with you later”

two airplane dings

Ella: “this is your bathroom… what are they called?.. podcast number two. I’m gonna brush my teeth. we are five hours away from landing, probably my last bathroom broadcast as my phone is going to die. um feeling.. feeling weird, that’s my report I feel weird. and that’s ok”

plane sounds replaced with the sound of my house at 3 am.
