Coming Home

I’ve been filled with mixed emotions since being back home. Of course, it’s nice sleeping in my bed, but there were so many things in Italy that I not only got used to, but very much enjoyed. It’s already so weird not seeing everyone every day, and getting back into my normal routine.

For this blog post, I wanted to share some of my feelings about being back home. I also paired this with background sounds of my usual morning routine, which includes walking outside, then making a cup of tea, and doing any chores that need to be done, which in this case was the dishes!

Also, here are some Oreo cookie brownies I made for my roommate’s Birthday!

  1. Alegra!!!! You are the sunshine on a cloudy Bellingham day!!!!!!! I loved hearing your thoughts in this blogpost because you have such a relaxing voice (and clear sound quality) and also everything you said hit home (hehe) for me. I also miss walking everywhere and seeing each other every day… It honestly felt like I was having withdrawals over the weekend 🙁 I was so glad to be back in class today and see your lovely face with new gorgeous bangs!!!

    Also those brownies look scrumdiddlyumptious……………

  2. I really enjoy how personal this commentary feels. I especially understand the feeling of it being weird to not be surrounded by everyone. I was also really excited to see everyone on the first day of classes!
