coming home (to the comfort of familiarity)

Coming home has been so comforting. I’m cozy both physically and emotionally; I am back to the safety and familiarity of my home, my bed, my friends, my family, the food I’m used to, my entire wardrobe, and my usual routines. Nothing has changed; everything is just how I left it, and even though that felt odd to come home to initially, I find it very peaceful. I can go across the world and have a crazy adventure, and my home will be here just as it should be when I return. As for the soundscape, I presented it as a few snippets of a podcast with my roommate and best friend, Regan. Our laughs spent together are one of the biggest parts of what makes my house my home, so I focused this week’s project on that.
