EPA invited me to describe how I use the agency’s Risk-Screening Environmental Indicators (RSEI) and EJScreen tools in my teaching and research. But I reminded the audience how screening tools are like good research. It should raise more questions than answers. We need to be ready to move beyond risk and EJ screening with ground truthing.
