BA, 2006: Andrea Boyd

Andrea Boyd (BA, 2006) graduated with emphasis study in Accounting and English. She attended Seattle Antioch University MS Management & Leadership program in 2010-11. Andrea began working for non-profit organizations in Bellingham 25 years ago at Boys & Girls Club, Whatcom Volunteer Center, and Allied Arts of Whatcom County.  She has volunteered as a board member of Old Town Business Association in downtown Bellingham, as well as volunteered at Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center, Children of The Setting Sun Productions of Lummi, Pratt Fine Arts Center, and Chad’s Legacy.  Andre has worked at non-profit organizations and governments, including the Tulalip Tribes Government, Nooksack Indian Tribal Government, 501 Commons, and Lavender Rights Project. Her non-profit work and volunteering entails doing these kinds things; 501(c)3 application, finance, accounting, budgeting, grant and program reporting per Federal OMB regulations, special events coordination, auction fundraising, and assist with grant writing.

 

BA, 2018: Elijah Schenk

Elijah Schenk (BA, 2018), following his year of service with the AmeriCorps Community Technology Empowerment Project in Saint Paul, MN and some time spent working as a Special Education Instructional Assistant with ELL students San Jose, has been hired by the State of Oregon Employment Department where he will continue a Public Service career in the position of Business & Employment.
