After analyzing and reflecting all five genres, I found that they all represent my theme one way or another. Some of the genres had a stronger connection with the theme than other genres. The diary entry and poem were very similar, in the sense that I had to be vulnerable and write things that not a lot of people know about me. I liked the diary entry the best, although it was really hard for me to decide what I wanted to share and what I didn’t want to share. It was also hard writing the poem, deciding what I wanted to be ‘real’ vs. ‘fake’. From the start, I knew I had to change the name of the girl I talk about in the entry. The poster and song were my least favorite, mostly because I didn’t really know how to best analysis them.
