Through the course of our research thus far we have gotten very diverse responses and a very split crowd when asked, “Do you prefer listening to music while writing or not?” We are at a 70/30 split, but many more responses and answers to come. In the start we had a very slow start, just finishing our survey and getting it out o people this weekend for the first time. But we have and will continue to be sending out responses and posting our survey to as many places as we can so we will have the most data for our project as we can. Something interesting so far finding out in our research is more people are leaning toward listening to music while they write. It is interesting to see our original hypothesis is true this far that most people enjoy listening to music while you write and can help the flow of your writing.
As far as how I feel we are at right now progress wise on this project is feeling a little bit behind. We have not had too many responses at this point in our research so I feel like we have some catching up to do but nothing too hard to fix. We have come up with a plan to send out our survey to as many people as possible, not only posting the survey online to the student web page, but to friends and family as well. I also think this will give us a more diverse group, making analyzing the data even more interesting because you can hear the different perspectives in various age groups.

Don’t get too freaked about getting too far behind. Sometimes it takes one really productive day to catch-up. That being said, it is good you are aware of your time constraint. Once midterms end, the quarter truly does fly by before you realize it.
