My name is Max Tacher and I’m from Ellensburg, Washington. A place I lived in for my whole life until I moved to Bellingham to attend Wetsern Washington University, where I’m currently enrolled as a freshman and intend to major in business. I have never particularly enjoyed writing and usually think of it as a task instead of as something I enjoy doing. However, this isn’t always the case as I do enjoy writing when it’s about a topic I’m interested in, such as music or sports. Sports specifically is always something that I’ve been interested in, and something that I could easily write about if needed. There aren’t many topics that I could write about without it feeling like a chore, but sports is one of them.
Me and my partner created a webtext about the research we did on the effects of listening to music while taking a test. We wanted our webtext to be simple and easy to navigate, while still representing our project appropriately. We believe we accomplished this as all of our pages are accessible from the menu at the top of our site, making it easy to go through the pages in whatever order you prefer. We also wanted our site to be visually engaging and easy to read, while still having enough text on each page to get our point across. We feel as if we accomplished this too as the media we used compliments our text, but doesn’t take anything away from it. For example, we believe our header image is perfect for our site as it isn’t too bland or too distracting from our text, but still represents our project in a simple and accurate way. We also put some type of media related to our project on each page to make each page more visually engaging.
Overall, when designing our webtext we wanted to create something that represented our research appropriately and in a way that made it easy and interesting for the viewer to read, something I believe we accomplished.
