For this month, I present a series of four videos, featuring a food beginning with W, I, S, E. I say a few things about the food I’ve selected, give a recipe link, and then some sources for you to follow up with!

Let’s look at “I.” I’ve got “Iodized salt” and “Iceberg lettuce,” let’s go with the salt. So, first, I want to just say (from FoodWISE) “… that table salt is typically mined and processed, with at least a dozen allowable additives. Sea salt, however, usually goes through an evaporation process that leaves some trace minerals. So, is sea salt the FoodWISE choice? Taste for yourself and see if there is a difference. For me, there is! The sea salts tend to be more flavorful, and have a rougher texture—I use less.” So, here’s a favorite recipe, using some of that crushed sea salt. But note: I’ve got the processed stuff in my house, I do! In a pinch, that’s what I use. First choice, though—that sea salt!
