 Objectives:

  1.  Demonstrate competency in many movement forms and proficiency in a few movement forms.
  2. Apply movement concepts and principle to the learning and development of motor skills.
  3. Exhibit a physically active lifestyle.
  4. Achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness.
  5. Demonstrate responsible personal and social behavior in physical activity settings.
  6. Demonstrate understanding and respect for differences among people in physical activity settings.
  7. Understand that physical activity provides opportunities for enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and social interaction
  8. Improve physical fitness, strength and flexibility throughout the school year.
  9. Display sportsmanship during physical education class

  3. Volleyball
  4. Soccer
  5. Team Handball
  6. Basketball
  7. Kickball
  8. Ultimate Frisbee
  9. Fitness Testing

*All course content will first be taught basic fundamental before we begin game play

Evaluation:

Daily Points: Student will receive 5 points each day for participation, suiting down, and good sportsmen ship (30% of total grade)

End of Unit Written Exam: Students will be tested with 10 question written multiple choice exams at the end of each unit (30% of total grade)

End of Unit Skill Assessment: Students will be assessed on their ability to complete the skills taught in each unit (30% of grade)

Attitude: Students will be graded on their attitude in the class and towards other students i.e. being respectful, respecting equipment, happy to be there (10% of total grade)

A=93+%, A-=90-93%, B+=89-90%, B= 83-89%, B-=30-83%,   C+=79-80%, C=73-79%, C-= 70-73%, D+= 69-70%, D=60-69%,  F=0-59%
