Nutrition and Diabetes

Diabetes is a growing disease that affects many Americans. It is important for individuals to create healthy habits that fit into their daily schedules to help prevent them from getting diabetes and to help those with diabetes manage their symptoms and minimize the harm it can have on the body. People who balance work with their home life can be at a high risk, as grabbing fast food can be easier than making dinner, or buying something from the vending machine instead of bringing simple snacks to work. We aim to educate those in the corporate workforce about the ease of which they can make healthy dietary changes to lower their risk of developing diabetes.

  1. I really enjoyed this prezi! The theme was really fun. I like the tips of how to eat healthy and how specific it was, like snacks to eat in the car. The conclusion was a nice addition to tie all the information together. Good work!

  2. I like how you have suggestions for eating habits that do not just focus on the three main meals of the day, but also on snacks to have at work or while out and about. I think that information really help some people who might resort to vending machines, which usually have unhealthy snack foods, when they are short on time or don’t know what else to have for a snack. There was only one snack that didn’t seem right to have at work, which was canned fish- I would think coworkers might not be too happy with that one!

  3. Very nice prezi! The layout is pretty neat and I think that the statistics/facts that you used were very eye catching.

  4. You all did a really good job in the idea of putting the information in the windows of the buildings and and going up to different floors for us to get information. The theme of this was well done, going from the buildinds, to the car, and then home environment. I liked the path that was taken in which the information for nutirition and diabetes was given to us. One main fact that caught my attention was how having an extra 2 servings of whole grain can decrease your risk for diabetes. Great job overall!

  5. I am very impressed by this Prezi! It is so creative and well done. The information provided was also very informative, great job!

  6. Your prezi was amazing. It was so cute and it was like reading a book or watching a movie. I would love to go to a lunch and learn with this as the presentation! Also you had great tables and examples of foods to keep at work or in your car to deter people from snacking on unhealthy things (like we all want to). Thanks for sharing such a great presentation!

  7. I think this is one of my favorite Prezis! I especially love that it speaks to those who eat in the car and gives them better alternatives than just fast food. I totally feel like if I were watching this while eating my Doritos and Twinkies in the lunch room, I would be thinking twice the next time I packed my lunch.

  8. My fave part of the prezi has to be how you all suggested healthy snack options for corporate workers when they’re stuck in their office and/or car, because that’s one of easiest ways to prevent the temptation to grab an unhealthy snack from the vending machines and/or lunchroom.

  9. I really liked how you made the camera zoom into the window of the building, that was very creative! I also really liked how you recommended healthy snacks for people in the different places that they go! Your group had one of the best prezies!

  10. I really like the Prezi and how much space we have to create. This was a great presentation and even though there was a lot of great information it was kind of hard to follow with all the switching between the cars and the buildings. I love the idea behind each window having information but the jump between each place was hard to keep up with. Overall, I understood the information I liked the layout.

  14. This was a really fun presentation. Your audience was really clear, and I think the level of information matched your intended audience well. This presentation was really clear and concise, and the information was presented in a way that wasn’t at all overwhelming or super text heavy. The whole theme was kind of fun, too.

  15. I really enjoyed this presentation! It was very interesting and told a story. I liked the way you incorporated what you were saying to follow along with the visuals. I also really liked all the suggestions of diets, what to keep around and what to stay away from! I found the statistics of what increases and decreases chances of diabetes really interesting also!
