My Princess Boy by Cheryl Kilodavis is a story about a boy who likes to wear princess dresses. The story highlights the likes and attributes of the main character, and explains that he sometimes gets made fun of for wearing girl’s clothes at school and at the store. The story calls on kids to accept different people for who they are and to treat them with kindness and respect. The story is on YouTube as well, and is presented in a format that includes sound effects and music, making it very engaging.
