Brief description: based on a true story, Mcfarland, USA is the story about a football coach that becomes inspired to help his new students at his new school with cross country in a predominantly Latino High School in McFarland California. Most of the boys don’t have high hopes for themselves or their futures most of them living in poverty. Through learning and growing through running as a team they begin to become very successful and won many awards over the course of their time in High School. We watch as these students grow together through physical activity and their academics follow. Many of these boys actually become one of the first in their families to attend college or into military careers.
