“The Center for Parenting: What Parents Need to Know About Self-Esteem”
Strengths of this parent website:
- Provides basic concepts for parents to understand about self-esteem for children at an introductory level.
- Provides information and strategies that parents can use and incorporate to help provide a positive way to model the concept of self-esteem to their own child. For example, the being and doing messages that help parents communicate to their child.
- At the bottom of the page, the website includes a number of books that are way which parents can support and raise their children.
As a Future Teacher:
As a future teacher, I plan on creating a biweekly newsletter that parents would receive, regarding what their children are learning. In this newsletter, it would include a self esteem topic when students are learning about it. The newsletter would also provide an update on how the and what the students are learning about self-esteem.
