○      Review:

■      This movie is pretty entertaining and fun for all who watch. In this movie, a scientist creates a machine that makes food literally rain from the sky. Most of the food that is created is unhealthy food though, and I don’t think even once in the entire more do you see a single fruit or vegetable. For obvious reasons, a lot of the characters in the movie start gaining weight because their diet consists of a lot of fatty/sugary foods. I would use this movie as a reference as to why is it important to keep a balanced diet.

Core Integration:

○      Writing core.

○      I would have my students write an informative essay about what kinds of foods they would have fall from the sky if they were the scientist in this movie. I would establish that the students need to at least have one type of food from each category, as to meet the needs of having a balanced diet. Before setting the students loose, I would provide an example of different foods that they could use, but for the most part I would like them to pick all of the foods that they want so that they have complete ownership over their writing.
