3rd Grade Anti-Bullying Internet Resource for Students

General Information—We found the Kid’s Against Bullying website to use for out student internet resource. It provides a child friendly environment to explore the concept of bullying, take interactive quizzes that help you identify if you are a target or you bully other people, as well as a virtual pledge that students can sign promising they are against bullying. In a classroom setting we would take the class to a computer lab to let them explore the site and help them navigate the interactive aspects of the site.

Core integration—Taking our class to the computer lab to utilize this website would integrate some of our health topics with Computer Science and English Language Arts standards for our students. There are standards in which 3rd graders should know basic terminology and basic solutions for a computer so going to the computer lab would give them a chance to learn/practice those skills. This site will also let 3rd grade students practice and strengthen their informational text reading skills with the quizzes provided.
