• This app is full of tapes ranging within 6 different categories however the 2 That I am interested in are the addiction and alcoholism categories. They have tapes from AA, NA and other events similar to these where people share their personal stories and challenges and feelings. It comes free with a good amount however you can unlock all the other content (which is a lot) for $12. Another great thing about this app is that it labels if a tape is explicit which would be helpful for the teacher to point out which ones for students to avoid.

Core Integration

• I would use this app as a starting point for writing assignments. You could use it as an example of personal narratives, you could use it as a resource for an opinion piece or persuasion essay. There’s a lot of different ways to go with this but I would definitely ask the kids to listen to one (or more) of the tapes and then have them write in response using what they heard to fuel the writing.
