- Summary
- What the documentary is about
- This doc follows four families all affected by drug addiction. One family follows a man who is addicted to heroin and is currently recovering. He lives with his wife and parents, who are all are trying to support him through this tough time. They all talk about their struggles with his addiction, while also talking about his point of view. The next two showed the effects of kids losing parents to an overdose. The families talk about their personal experiences as well. The last story followed a man who has been recovering for a few years now and is working through a program to get the drug possessions off his record. He talks about his personal experiences and why he got off drugs.
- Why it is the best
- This is a good documentary to show the students because it can show the many sides of addiction and how it affects everyone around you. It is honest and all the stories come from a general place of love and wanting everyone to be better. It could be better by showing more clips of people on drugs and the effects, but I think with showing this to a younger audience it gets the point across without needing to do that.
- What the documentary is about
- Review
- The doc was very well done. All stories were told well and felt honest and not forced. You got to hear many points of view to get the full story. Students will be able to understand how drugs can affect not only you but everyone around you.
