This link provides a short video that demonstrates what the app looks like for students.
Core Integration:
- This app can be integrated into a science lesson that talks about our five senses. You can start off by teaching students about our five senses and how they can protect us from danger. Then you can talk about how in any kind of online engagement it is difficult to use all five of our senses to detect any types of danger since it isn’t an environment that all of our senses can be activated in. You can then integrate the app that the students have used and ask them how they think the characters used the senses available to them to detect these dangers. By doing this, you are teaching students a science lesson about their senses but also relating it to how we cannot always use them in an online environment. This can lead into what senses we can use and different ways to stay safe in the online community.
