    1. General Info
      1. Doctor Check Ups for Kids – Types of Doctors / Producer: Kids Academy / Year: 2019 / Length: 4 minutes 34 seconds / Rating: G
      2. This video is a step by step of what it is like to go to the doctors. The video walks through what each tool is and how and when it will be used. There are nice photos and animation to go along with the video. This video would be very helpful for students who are nervous to visit with a doctor or are unaware of what happens at a doctors office.
      3. I think this video would be very educational for students and would also be a fun way for them to learn about how and what happens at a routine doctor’s visit. The visuals were very helpful and the graphics in the intro would be very intriguing to a young student.
    2. Core Integration
      1. This video would be used in an early childhood or early elementary lesson to help students prepare for going to the doctor’s office. This video could also be used with students who are living with intellectual disabilities who are also unaware of what happens at a doctors office or as a reminder before they go so they are prepared for everything that could happen.

  1. Popular Film: Doc McStuffins
    1. General Information:
      1. Doc McStuffins, Season 2, Episode 12A: The Doctor Will See You Now / Producer: Chris Nee & Disney Junior / Year: 2013 / Length: 12 minutes 15 seconds / Rating: G
      2. This episode of Doc McStuffins shows a little girl, who likes to play pretend doctor, going in for a check up. She brings along her stuffed animal friends and plays with them in the waiting room. Doc brings her friends in an exam room to play before the real doctor comes in. The doctor comes into the room and it is Doc’s turn for a check up. This is a great way for students to get familiar with the setup of a doctor’s office and what to expect during the visit.
      3. I think this episode is perfect for introducing what children should expect when going to the doctor. It lets children know that it is a fun and welcoming place and the adults are there to support and care for patients. It also creates a sense of comfort for kids during the waiting time before going in.
    2. Core Integration:
      1. The video will be integrated in an early childhood lesson on how to grow up healthy. One of the OSPI guidelines for this section is to have children get familiar about regular check ups, dental, vision, and immunizations. This video could be used as supplemental material to give students a general and age friendly idea of what it is like going to the doctors.
