This book is about a group of kids going out for a day of play and they’ve all packed snacks, they meet with Mr. Eagle and he tells them all about what snacks are healthy and which are only sometimes foods, while Coyote tries to trick the children into eating junk food.

This is the most appropriate because the lesson theme is supporting your friends in eating healthy, and that’s what this book is about, plus it’s fun and has good illustrations. We can integrate this into the curriculum by pairing it with the That’s So Raven clip. It would be one big Science lesson. Teach the kids all about chemicals and how different chemicals react with each other to get different results. We can then relate that to nutrition because different food types react with our bodies, for example eating a lot of junk reacts to our bodies by making us gain weight and feel sick.
