Core Integration:

  • This film can be incorporated into an art lesson. There is a coloring sheet available on NetsmartzKids, of Nettie and Webster that the students can color while watching the film. But since this lesson is aimed for fifth graders, this coloring sheet might be way below their level. A more appropriate lesson could include students drawing a scene from the film, after watching, that describes something they learned about social media safety. They can use any art supplies and their creativity, to create a drawing/ image of something they just watched and learned from the film. While the students are drawing, you can then take this time to talk about the ideas of social media safety that were mentioned in the film and discuss them at a deeper level.
