Fellows and Student Leaders

Cascading mentorship in action

Student Leaders Thriving: Building IdeaGrit

My experience as an Entrepreneurship and Innovation Fellow has been instrumental to my development as an entrepreneur, community member, and authentic human. Through this fellowship, I have discovered values that are shaping my future. The opportunity to serve as a student coach and mentor has given me the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with my peers, professors, and myself. I see my learnings applied outside of the classroom and truly in all parts of my life. I am incredibly grateful for the scholarship I receive through the program. Without this scholarship, I would be forced to move away from the program and focus on another job. When my friends ask me what entrepreneurship is, I tell them that it is learning how to make your dreams come true. Being a fellow, I am developing competence and confidence in the tools I need not only to build my own dreams but assist passionate people around me to build theirs. Becoming an Entrepreneurship and Innovation Fellow has had an incredible impact on my life!

This Give Day we are asking for your support for our Culture of Belonging and Fellows Programs–focused on student leadership, mentorship, and deep engagement. WWU’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program is the Birthplace of Human-Centered Entrepreneurship and Innovation Education. (HCEI&E)  We focus our teaching on what the students need to grow into flourishing in whatever walks of life where they choose to act in entrepreneurial and innovative ways.
