My name is Jamie, and I’m excited to be working on fostering human connections and experiences to Western. I feel passionate about connecting with others and practicing face-to-face interactions, especially in an overwhelmingly digitized age. My teammate, Olivia Klein, and I are currently putting together a Story Slam event here on campus. The idea of this event is based on The Moth, a non-profit group based in New York City dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. Our event will feature students, staff, and whoever else would like to share a story based on a loose theme. While the line up will be predetermined, we will welcome an open mic at the end for those who have been inspired during others’ stories.
