Venture Project 1: Lickity Split

Venture project one (VP1) is always fast paced and exciting. We were given the task of creating a game that promotes and/or facilitates diversity and inclusion. Brainstorming from the beginning was focused on finding a group of people who were already focused on diversity and inclusion. We came to the conclusion that we wanted to develop a game as a tool for resident assistants to use to facilitate connection and inclusion within their hall. Lickity Split is a challenge-based game that continually splits one large group of people into ever-changing teams with “would you rather…” questions. This ensures that people get to compete with and against a variety of people and build connections through friendly competition.

Jono Warren: Handmade Products for Social Good.

Working toward win/win solutions between businesses and stakeholders.

Hello, My name is Jono and I am passionate about creating a better world for all through empathy and creative problem solving. My studies have led me to learn about B Corps and the nonprofit auditor B Lab. This is a business certification that allows consumers to see which companies are reaching for and grasping the highest standards for social and environmental consciousness and action. There is also an option to incorporate in Washington as a Social Purpose Corporation. This allows ventures the freedom to set their mission with more that one bottom line. If you are interested in this, let me know and we can sit down for a beverage and chat.

I am currently working on a leather goods company that aims to create high quality handcrafted leather bags with a mission to offer jobs to traditionally marginalized people. We will be inviting consumers to lean into their own power to create change by casting their vote for social enterprises with every dollar they spend, including ours. We will be offering a large tote for everyday use as our first product and build our offering from there based on customer feedback.

I would love to chat with you if you are interested in this project or any other collaboration.
