Pre-Health Care


Pre-Health Care Profession is not a major at WWU. It is a specialization in the Kinesiology major.

Students should work on completing their GURs.

  • Students planning on entering Occupational Therapy graduate school should also take the classes listed under the “Freshman/Sophomore Years” section in the pre-OT advising handout.
  • Students planning on entering Physician Assistant graduate school should also take the classes listed under the “Freshman/Sophomore Years” section in the pre-PA advising handout.
  • Students planning on entering Chiropractic graduate school should also take the classes listed under the “Freshman/Sophomore Years” section in the pre-Chiropractic advising handout.
  • Students planning on entering a Nursing program should also take the classes listed under the “Freshman/Sophomore Years” section in the pre-nursing advising handout.
  • Students planning on entering Nutrition graduate school should also take the classes listed under the “Freshman/Sophomore Years” section in the pre-nutrition advising handout.
  • Students planning on entering an Athletic Training program should also take the classes listed under the “Freshman/Sophomore Years” section in the pre-Athletic Training advising handout.
  • Students planning on entering a Physical Therapy program should also take the classes listed under the “Freshman/Sophomore Years” section in the pre-PT advising handout.

Students are advised to start their sequence of math courses, and sequence of chemistry courses as soon as possible.
Additionally, if you are thinking of doing a minor, then work on completing minor classes.
