Japan: YCE Lions Club Summer Camp 2017

Hello Reader!

Yes, you’re correct…I’m back from the dead. Just kidding, I’ve been at a Lions Club Summer camp with absolutely no wifi because we were staying in cute little Japanese dormitories for a week.

Despite some people’s thoughts on the camp, food, organization, etc. I honestly had the time of my life.

Thank you Lions Club Japan Tsukuba for being such wonderful hosts and creating such fun activities. Thank you for immersing me in Japanese culture and experiencing the life of a Japanese citizen. Thank you for all the limited conversations we had (due to language barriers). Thank you for the all gifts and and memories.

Thank you OB/OG volunteers for translating (even though you thought it was bad translations–I thought you did pretty well). Thank you for playing Bruno Mars all the time (aka Riko). Thank you for dancing to K-Pop with me (aka Wataru). Thank you for the bug bite medicine (aka Momo). Thank you for your kindness and jokes (aka Marina). Thank you for having my back and being supportive (aka Lily). Thank you for all the laughs and memories, you all hold a special place in my heart.

And the best for last, my international friends. Thank you for all the memories. I truly enjoyed every second I’ve spent with all of you.  Thank you for sharing part of your country with me and your beautiful language. Thank you for all the laughs and youthfulness. I’ve said this already, but you all are beautiful and special in your own way. You all have unique characteristics that make you wonderfully amazing. I wish you the best in your future and that you achieve all your hopes and dreams. I will hold our friendship close to my heart forever. And hopefully (when I raise enough money) we will see each other in the near future (because I want to visit your countries even more after meeting you).

With much love,

Keito
