Destruction of The Ocean

Hello, my name is Kenny Soule. I’m currently a Freshman at Western Washington University, but a soon to be Sophomore. I hope to be majoring in either environmental sciences or some form of animal biology, so as you can see, I have a special fondness for nature and the organisms that live in it. I have done a lot of research when it comes to animals and the environment, and published many papers, poems, and posts about them. As a writer I would say I’m fairly experienced, but my journey of literacy isn’t a nice one, I basically started high school with hatred for literacy. As I progressed through high school, I had a teacher who rekindled my love for literacy and helped me find what I truly enjoy writing about, and that’s animals and the environment. My favorite genre of writing is poetry, I think it captures what someone is trying to say more than any other form of writing. I think in writing about what truly means something to you should always express yourself and your feelings, and poetry is a perfect example of that. Something you should know about me is that I have no intention of trying to prove other people’s opinions wrong, I’m just trying to say my side of the story. I am an advocate of having your own opinion and having the heart to support it, but that doesn’t mean I won’t try to help your understanding of what I’m trying to prove. I chose my theme because we only have one world and how we treat that world won’t only impact us but everything that lives on that world. While creating this webtext it was hard to confine the information I got into only five separate pages, and with all the different way to express this information, I found it hard to choose five different genres of writing.
