Setting: The tweets posted by all of the presidential candidates, especially Trump, were broadcasted

all over the media. They were on every news channel and news website, as well as of course their social media accounts. Tweets are kind of their own genre because you only get 140 characters so your tweet can be whatever you want it it be within that small number of characters.

 

Subject: Twitter is used for people to post small snippets of what’s going on in their lives or to read snippets of news and watch funny videos. Twitter is a news and social networking site. In this case, with the election, the candidates used Twitter to slam each other and spread a lot of hate, but to also inform the public of their views on some issues.

 

Participants: Twitter was made in 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams. So many people participate in using twitter, there are 261 million international users and 69 users in America.

 

Exigencies: Twitter is used to connect people and to keep up to date on your friends lives like a better shortened version of facebook. In the case of the election, people used Twitter to read very simple short news bits and to keep up on all the crazy dram a with the candidates.
