The purpose of our research was to gather information about owning emotional support animals while attending college. Our hope was to gather all the facts so that we can portray both the positive and negative aspects about being an emotional support animal owner. We want to show that owning an emotional could mean different things for different people. We want people to use this information to come to a decision on their own to see what is right for them. So they can make an informed choice. This information is useful because it can help someone come to the realization that an emotional support animal may be too much of a responsibility while attending college or that owning an emotional support animal may be beneficial to them.
