The Author: Cassie (21): writer, hot dog-costume-wearer, inventor of unnecessary things (see: low-tide scented candle).

Hello! This is the page about me, the writer of everything you will read on this website. What should you know? Well, I’m a slightly eccentric, water-loving wanderer that loves to talk with people about their passions.

I’m oblivious at times– I interviewed for my current job by accident (no regrets). My main transportation is my functional feet and when I’m jonesing for an adrenaline boost, I ride a yellow piece of plastic with blue wheels, a ‘penny board’ to some.

I’m a writing major (creative, professional) and so, shockingly, I enjoy writing. I’m partial to long-form journalism– in depth explorations of specific people or topics. Not that surprising then that my favorite book is Oranges by John McPhee. Can you guess what it’s about?

I work in athletics marketing as a ‘Fan Experience’ intern, so I’m paid to make sporting events fun. Good deal.

In case you were wondering, no, I’ve never been a mascot. My hot dog name at the Tacoma Rainiers is Street Meat Sally though. She’s the closest I’ll get to mascotting.

Unnecessary information you didn’t ask for but I’m going to tell you anyway: I’m a concert loving, radio DJ always looking for new music, my favorite mountain is currently Mt. Assiniboine, and my favorite place I have ever swam is in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
