Here is a documentary film by Tamara Davis built from her interviews with Jean-Michel Basquiat in the 80’s. From the website for the film, here is a portion of the synopsis:

It’s a good primer for the exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum! And, I might add, way more accurate than Julian Schnabel’s film. It is available on Netflix.
