The Office of Institutional Research offers quarterly information sessions about the Fact Book and can offer targeted sessions for specific offices as well. Internal Fact Book – Static Reports (5:46)
This video goes over PDF reports available to Western faculty and staff. These reports include information on detailed student enrollment, student and faculty profiles, faculty headcount and FTE, faculty teaching load, fall admissions data, time to degree, data reported to the Federal government through IPEDS, and select other reports.
Internal Fact Book – Course Enrollment (7:27)
The Course Enrollment report on the Fact Book is interactive and allows current Western faculty and staff to see details about enrollment by course number, CRN, faculty type, department, and term. Information about wait lists and online courses is also available here.
Internal Fact Book – Student Credit Hours (8:37)
As another interactive report, the Student Credit Hours report allows current Western faculty and staff to sort and filter student credit hour data by funding source, course division level, and instructor tenure status as well as showing totals by college, department, and individual faculty member.
Internal Fact Book – Majors Enrolled (6:59)
This interactive report shows the total number of majors enrolled for each term going back to Fall 2001. It includes students' first and second or third major as well as indicators for whether the student is enrolled in a teacher education program or in the Fairhaven College. Current Western faculty and staff can look at this data by college, department, and individual major.
Internal Fact Book – Degree Majors Awarded (6:52)
The last interactive report on the Fact Book shows how many degrees were awarded by major (therefore, students may be counted more than once). Total major degrees awarded can be seen by quarter or by degree type going back to fiscal year 2006. Trend data is available and can be viewed by college, department, and major.
