CONCLUSION

The most defining inherent characteristic of jazz, a contrast of order and chaos, is easily identifiable across every single one of these genres. Each genre illuminates the effervescent liveliness and simultaneous elementary simplicity of jazz. This is most explicitly exemplified by the art of Jeremy Sutton, in which he physically and visually transmuted the sounds of the band into a work of art. Anywhere you look, you will discover a reflection of these ideas in some form. That is why I believe jazz is truly an echo of the nature of the universe.

Order and chaos constantly surround us. Both serve their purpose independently, yet also engender and enable the existence of the other. Like two sticks propped against each other, without one, both will fall. And so life defines itself as an eternal integration of the two in harmonious balance. Don’t let order dominate and subdue you. Don’t let chaos overwhelm and distress you. We have the power to enjoy the calming stability of a routine and schedule while still leaving room for exciting, spontaneous vacations and experiences.
