This fall quarter, students worked on the “Big Heads” project, which explores the basic tenants of studio lighting and building a portrait. Using DSLR cameras and the lighting studio here on campus, students created large format canvas prints spanning 40″ x 40″. This project was designed to explore issues of identity and self-exploration, and to push the boundaries of the definitions of portraiture. You could see the finished works in the exhibition from November 18th to December 2nd in the FI 2nd Floor Hallway Display.

The show features the creative works of: Danny Brown, Lillie Brown, Cory Dizon, Kristjana Harder, Sage Hartman, Indigo Lahtinen, Shawna Lingrey, Brooklyn Miller, Rudy Rudolph and Annika Wiebe.

Special thanks to David Hamiter, Thayne Yazzie, Anthony Ponce de Leon and the Student Staff at the Student Technology Center!
