Summary
Here are some links and information about our 2025 trip to NYC: Regarding the content of the course—It is open to everyone, including non-art majors, and there are NO prerequisites. We invite and welcome students and members of the community from all fields of study. This 6-credit WP-1 course offers both Art and Non-Art Majors the opportunity to visit New York City with two practicing artists and faculty members familiar with the city. Students will participate in a variety of activities ranging from touring major public museums and institutions, such as The MET, MoMA, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, to exclusive visits with artists, curators, and gallery owners. Using NYC as the classroom, students will learn by experiencing celebrated historic and contemporary art in one of the world’s largest art centers. Also, we are staying at Hostelling International in NYC. We’ve stayed with them for over 10 years and it just gets better and better! Safe, clean, and in a perfect location—only blocks away from Central Park!
