I am fascinated with reflective surfaces, such as this glass ball.  I have found images from people who have experimented with capturing light through the ball.  One interesting aspect of glass balls is that the reflection will be upside-down.  I think there is still much more that people can do with them, and it is not fully explored yet.  With Christmas coming up, it will be fun to experiment with the glass ball ornaments on trees.
