371 & 496 Field Trip to UBC, Fall 2015

We had an incredible trip yesterday. And met with some amazing people:

Gareth James & Ines Dolic gave us a wonderful tour and overview at the UBC MFA Studios. Naomi Sawada & Chris Gaudet presented a fantastic summary of Rodney Graham’s Millennial Time Machine. Susan Rowley was amazing at the Anthro Musuem and presented a very comprehensive synopsis of the “c̓əsnaʔəm” exhibition. We ended the day with Naomi at the Belkin Musuem where she gave us the perfect walking tour of Maria Eichhorn’s work.

WWU SPE Thank You!

With the generous support of Western’s Art Department, the Dean’s office, Associated Students, and kindness of countless others, 11 photography students were afforded the opportunity to go to New York City and Balitmore for the National SPE Conference in March 2014. Garth Amundson and Pierre Gour were delighted to help out with the trip and look forward to SPE in New Orleans next year.
